i would like to know about motor neuron dieases

my mother is recently diagnos for motor neuron dieases , having problem of right foot drop , RILUTOR tablets - 02 / day started since last 15 days.
pls guide if any treatment , and why this happen, 4/5 months back she was not having the problem. she is also having thyrod 25 mcg / day . and blood pressure since last 8 months, she has talk cholestrol lawering drugs for 5 months.
